Swaybars, monoball CAB, SS brake lines installed.

2023 M340i Xdrive ZTK

Just had the H&R front and rear Swaybars, Dinan monoballs and TurnerMotorsports stainless steel brake lines installed!
Steering was a bit vague before install, was hard to hold a line, and the brakes seemed a bit inconsistent….and this was with the staggered Michelin PS4.
Sooo much better now in all aspects! And I’m on my staggered winter tires now.
Much more precise steering, as good as my last two M cars(which had the same upgrades)much more stable at WOTin straight line and less body roll in the corners😃
Brake pedal is nicely firmer and more consistent in performance and feel.
Very happy with my new car now😃
Watched the Honda following me a little to close get squirrely on an off-ramp yesterday

No, I had a shop do the install. Although I have done most of my own work on most of my cars since a teen I no longer have the time or tools…I’m 55 and married…😃
The Swaybars on this car is a bit more involved than past BMWs I’ve owned. It involves dropping subframes which I didn’t want to deal with and just don’t have the time for anymore. But the swaybars were exactly what I feel the car needed even with the adaptive suspension. The monoballs aren’t that hard nor are the brake lines but the sop gave me a decent price and they are top notch!

How’s the NVH with the addition of the monoballs? I’ve heard different results from different individuals

A very small amount of road feedback felt through the steering wheel. Very acceptable to me for the more precise steering and stability under hard braking.

I’ve been on the fence for quite some time about upgrading the monoballs but this information might help to sway me

H&R sways are definitely on my upgrade list in the near future, along with stainless steel brake lines.

Appreciate the honest insight and feedback

Glad to hear some positive feedback regarding the H&R sway bars. I have a pending order on these and hope to coincide with you in less body roll.

Additionally, do you have any negative feedback or any downsides for the stainless steel brake lines? My car is my DD + track sessions once a month at most. I despise the light brake pedal feel.

I had the Dinan monoballs on my e39 M5 and on my e85 Z4 M Roadster and loved them on both of those cars.
I’ve had H&R or Eibach swaybars on pretty much every BMW I’ve had and they are a tried and true way of improving handling especially if you don’t want to lower the car or go coil overs. They are also a great finishing touch to dial in your suspension if you’ve gone to coilovers. I don’t want to lower this car or go coilovers…..yet😃
The brakes from the ZTK package were one of the reasons I optioned it but I wasn’t impressed with their pedal feel or consistency. I would press the pedal according to what I thought a situation called for….then have to press much harder to get the result I was looking for. Much more linear pedal feel and consistency with the SS brake lines. I feel I get what my foot asks for😃
They have also smoothed out stops that were a bit quirky from what I think is the MH system….
Now to install the Eventuri intake. I’ll do that myself later on today I think….🤘

Seems like a lot of work, how many hours did it take the shop to install them?

I think the Swaybars book at 14 hours or something and the monoballs are 4 or so? We agreed on a price and they were right at it even though I threw in the SS brake line install at the last minute. I doubt it took them that long to install but they did good work which is my main concern and no unexpected problems or issues with the car afterwards….
Love the way the car handles and brakes now!

Wow, 14 hours of labor for the front and rear swaybars? Sound like labor is going to cost more than the parts itself.

i'm assuming $1200-$1400 for install, regardless, it would be worth it if it really improves body roll and handling.

I've been looking for that swaybar. Can you share the link where you purchased?

This is where I purchased mine but I just checked and forum sponsor Xtreme Power House sells them for less.

Ok! Very very happy with these mods/upgrades!!! Car is super smooth and balanced and brakes are just about perfect!
But I wanted just a bit more…..
So…JB4, Eventuri intake, AA catted downpipe!
Car just zips now! Just like stock but better😃
And here in the next few weeks Vorschlag camber plates, Dinan springs and bumpstops!
Probably going to go with Apex wheels and wider tires when budget allows. I think car will be perfect at that point. I thought about a G80 M3 but can’t get over the grill. Also like that my insurance isn’t much and Mpg is decent on long drives.
Haven’t been into drag racing since my supercharged, 3spd, Z28 but this car is a monster off the line(Xdrive) and handles and brakes as well👍

We are going to be twinsies once my camber plates and apex wheels arrive!

I’ve been out of town for work for a couple of weeks but should be getting the springs and camberplates installed in the next week or so. Very excited!!! Especially for the negative camber!
You’re not Skyscaper/Tecora by chance…..

Yeah, the front really does need more negative camber! Please keep us updated.

I really like those mods. I have a M440i and am in the process of doing similar mods.
