Low Dust Pads??

Hi!
I Have A 2023 430I X Drive Convertible with M Sport Brakes...I can't take the brake dust anymore looking for a low dust replacement. I wash the car almost 4 times a week! I haven't been able to find any pads. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

My car also has M Sport brakes. Brake dust isn’t a problem per se. It’s evidence that the softer brake compound is being shaved by the rotor while preparing a fresh layer for the next braking cycle.

M Sport brakes provide an excellent initial bite - exactly what’s needed in daily driving conditions.

There are many brake pads to choose from. You will find that brake pads which produce less dust wear the rotor faster due to a harsher compound.

G22Convertible, couldn't agree with you more as the brake dust is nuts. I wash/clean them weekly and is bugging me.
There are so many pads amd cant figure out which is the better pad that is low dust and doesnt break the bank. Id opt for new set of pads, or pads slotted rotors, that is low dust and doesn't break the bank.

@mike@x-ph.com any suggestions for low dust, low cost pads or pads and rotor?

I used Powerstop Z26 Performance Street Pads before on my F10 M5. They had zero squeal and little to no brake dust. I could wash my wheels once every few months and there was hardly any dust. Also the dust is more light grey so on silver wheels I barely even noticed it. If your wheel is coated, just a water hose will remove what tiny bit there is. I am thinking of replacing my stock M440 brakes with them also.

I have these on my M550 and they have eliminated about 90% of dust and great stopping power. Highly recommend.

I thought it was just me being anal, my 2023 430iGC with M-Sport stays clean about 2 days, then the Wheels and Calipers look like hell... if my rims were not such a pain to clean... looks great when clean...

Its expected with all BMWs; the sportier models are even worse

I'm running HAWK HPS 5.0 and the stopping power is solid. Haven't washed the car in a few weeks and the wheels have maybe 1/4 of the dust that the stocks would produce.

They have been quiet for me so far. I've got around 200 miles on them. Initial bite on the pads are better than oem and it feels like it stops better than oem as well. I'll update on the dusting after some more miles.

I did Hawk Ceramic performance pads and they make excellent daily pads. You lose some initial bite but the braking performance overall is like new stock pads. But it takes much longer to get any visible brake dust.
