I don't know if this is a huge job. I did an after market front sway bar on a 21' M2 competition. It was very straight forward. All the M cars have a very easy bolt on front swaybar.
You would be correct if one needs to drop the subframe in order to have enough clearance to remove/install the front swaybar. That was why I posted this question to see if anyone has done this. |

I could only find one video that a front sway bar was installed in a 340i. Yes, he had to lower the front sub-frame.
What I am not sure is if the 340i suspension is similar to the M440i. Because on a M4 front sway bar replacement does not involve dropping the subframe. Last edited by jliuod; 11-15-2023 at 08:26 PM.. |

I got the H&R front swaybar. I took the belly coverings off and did some investigating on how complex the install would be. I think it is doable. Having said that I have decided not to install the front swaybar. The reason is the vehicle is still under warranty and I do not want BMW to use it as an excuse not to honor the warranty because of the complexity of the install. Another reason is I do not track the car and as much as I like the better response in corning it will not be justified for the extensive install.
So if anyone out there wants a brand new H&R front sway bar I will give you a discount. |
