m440i front sway bar installation

Has anyone done an aftermarket swaybar install on the M440I?
Is it similar to the M4?

I don't know if this is a huge job. I did an after market front sway bar on a 21' M2 competition. It was very straight forward. All the M cars have a very easy bolt on front swaybar.

You would be correct if one needs to drop the subframe in order to have enough clearance to remove/install the front swaybar.

That was why I posted this question to see if anyone has done this.

From what I've read, it's a subframe drop. That's probably why you rarely hear of someone doing this on a G20/G22. There's a YouTube video of a guy doing the front without fully dropping the front subframe, but still removing some of the fasteners to get it to move somewhat in order to slide the sway bar through.

I could only find one video that a front sway bar was installed in a 340i. Yes, he had to lower the front sub-frame.

What I am not sure is if the 340i suspension is similar to the M440i.

Because on a M4 front sway bar replacement does not involve dropping the subframe.

I got the H&R front swaybar. I took the belly coverings off and did some investigating on how complex the install would be. I think it is doable. Having said that I have decided not to install the front swaybar. The reason is the vehicle is still under warranty and I do not want BMW to use it as an excuse not to honor the warranty because of the complexity of the install. Another reason is I do not track the car and as much as I like the better response in corning it will not be justified for the extensive install.

So if anyone out there wants a brand new H&R front sway bar I will give you a discount.
