330e Exhaust Valve won't open

On my 2023 330e I want to be able to keep my exhaust valve open 24/7 without coding. So I decided I would simply wait for the car to idle in sport mode and wait for the valve to open and simply unplug the valve. Well I sat for around 1 minute and nothing happened. I gave it some gas…nothing. I’ve tried everything. I even tried opening it manually by simply trying to turning the pin. I have googled, researched, and basically have found nothing. I don’t know if maybe the valve doesn’t open for the 330e but if anyone knows how to be able to keep the exhaust valve open 24/7 without coding please let me know!!!!

Same with me....took delivery of a 2023 330i and the valve won't open at all. Dealer says this is likely a software/hardware issue that would require overnight diagnosis. Unfortunately I do need my car and loaners are weeks out, so I can't get this fixed anytime soon :/. Appointment has already been scheduled and I'm hoping this is a simple, quick and easy fix.

Hello, has the problem been solved? I have a 430i and I also found that its valves won't move, even when switching the Sport mode. Does it have to be driven?

Never fixed for me as well, however, after having my exhaust shop take a look prior to the installation, it looks like there was "significant" white rust buildup on the actuator bolt, which is likely why it was causing it to not open. After going back and forth with the dealer 3 times, they decided to completely ignore me and referred me to Genius so I could turn on Iconic Sounds for more sound lol...

You can open the valve with Bimmerlink and its not intrusive (at all) as Bimmercode. Just be aware that you're able to open it with Bimmerlink, but as soon as you shut the engine, it goes back to being closed.

What you can do is open it with Bimmerlink and manually unplug the connection on the back of the car, where the right exhaust is and get it to be open 24/7.
