Top picture: Hmmm...not as bad proportions as hinted by earlier G23 mules, actually rather elegant.
Bottom picture: Nope, the attractive G22 design doesn’t seem to work as a vert. Still looks as bad or worse than the mules. Will be interesting to see which statement holds true seeing it IRL. |

Not really feeling the cloth roof. A folding hardtop would suit much nicer I think.
However I really don’t get why everything has to have damn black wheels these days!!!

Soft tops are sooooo much better. The hard top adds weight, slower to open/close and take up a ton of space. Add to the fact that the insulation (for climate and noise) is far better than they used to be.

I'm not a fan of black wheels either. It's so "year 1999." With that said, BMW seems to utilize black wheels on test mules in an attempt to conceal wheel design elements.

Most car break-ins are either unlocked cars or smashed windows. This soft top has a much better looking roof line than the folding hardtop.

1. "Easy to break into" - Actually every car is easy to break into. A thief is not coming through your soft top. Far simpler to break the window and easier to access the car. 2. "Noisy" - Of course it won't have the cocoon-like experience of a hard top but the insulation on the latest soft tops is impressive. I test drove the 2020 Z4 at highway speed and its pretty darn quiet. 3. "Keeping them clean and water resistant suck" - Again, you're probably thinking of an older car. New soft tops repel well and don't require anything special to clean. Hope this clears it up for others.
