I certainly hope it will have CSL-homage-like big grills.

And this looks very similar to CSL Homage!

No it doesn't. The grills in the spy shot go all the way down to the bottom of the bumper.

Have to agree, plus all the pedestrian safety regulations will cause the front end to be less sharp/angled like the concept.

Big grills are fine if their incorporated into the design well. The 4 series renders made them look tacked on as if the car was meant to have the typical grills we've seen during the last few generations of 3 series, but then at the last moment someone said, "let's see what it would look like with big, odd shaped kidney grills."

The renders take cues from the most current spy pics, insider info, first hand accounts, etc. Most of us accept this reality. Those in denial will be put on my list for reckoning at a later date.

Yeah...Thankfully the G20 isn't blemished by the stupid hood line like on the F30. It's the one thing I really don't like about my 340i.

Those are OLD prototypes (...and SCOTT26 confirmed that they were old as well). Jokes on YOU! I'll add you to the list.

I understand that the renders aren't just randomly drafted. Why can't you just allow some of us to hold onto hope that things turn out differently? We're not critiquing the artists or their interpretation, we're just hoping against odds that things turn out good in the end.

I'm already seeing some of those that hated the NEW 3 series writing things like "the look has grown on me" or "It doesn't look that bad" so it will be the same thing with this new "controversy"!!!

Oh no, no, no. Don't back pedal now. You've already stated/inferred with such confidence that it wouldn't have large grills, so you have to stick with that. None of this, "I don't care..." stuff to allow yourself wiggle room.

LOL! I just find it fun and entertaining. I've been around long enough on BMW forums and in the BMW camp (...about two decades now) to appreciate the process. I just wanna have fun and poke at the non-believers who will have to eat shoe when it's all said and done.

P.S. I, too, hope it looks decent enough for me to want to spend my money on.

Haha! Didn't know you had an actual list going ...

The most recent photos show a two-part upper and lower grille suggesting smaller kidneys... are you taking the surface area of all grilles on the front and counting that or just the two main kidneys?

The new M4 vert renders are maybe even worse than the full top-to-bottom renders of the M3. So maybe bigger is better? Oh man... only a few more days and we'll see. Sure hope it doesn't look like that render! Big grilles is one thing but that render (although cleanly done) looks pretty bad & would probably drive me towards something else. Fingers crossed, especially now that we know there is a 6MT coming

Those photos of the ///M3/4 showing what seems to be a two part upper/lower grill are just heavily camouflaged, and even SCOTT26 exposed those as being earlier prototypes (..and said that those photos looked like the earlier prototyped M3/M4 grills with what looked like a regular G20 grill overlay to camouflage the actual design).

I think the renders with the horizontal slats are the real deal, especially because we've already seen what seems to be the full production grill in the earlier spy shots.

Yeah, and the list isn't complete either. I just couldn't list names fast enough. Lol! I'm just having fun with it though. I hope everybody in that list has a sense of humor.
