Hi all - have a question with regards to launch control on my G20 330e (which I have not yet tried). The instruction states that to activate launch control you must first deactivate DSC, move the gear selected to M/S (manual/sport transmission), foot on the brake and apply gas etc.

However it isn't clear whether I firstly need to have the car in Sport or Sport Xtraboost - also in the instruction manual it states that if sports transmission is selected whilst the car is in Sport drive mode then the car will not automatically shift which I presume I will need if in launch control?

Has anyone yet tried launch control on their 300e? I have only seen YouTube videos of owners who have tested it.

Thanks in advance!

You can do Launch Control in both mode, either sport or with xtraboost. Just choose which one you would like to.

And yes, you have to move the gear selected to M/S, which you can choose auto shifting and manual shifting.

It does work on mine, I've already tried on my 330e.

In the manual it says to only do it after the engine break in (2500 kms), but out of the 7k done so far, I barely have over 1k on the ICE alone.

Yep I'm in the same position - I've done even less mileage at the moment so don't want to test the launch control just yet but was interested in understanding how it works because the manual states that when the car is in Sports mode and the transmission in M/S you will only be able to manually shift as opposed to having the car in Hybrid mode and transmission in M/S where the car will still shift automatically.

It's unclear whether the car should be in Sports mode when you want to launch control as I don't want to manually shift etc.

If it's like my M2, turning off DSC completely already put the car in "sport" response while traction mode (short press) keep the throttle response as in comfort. M2's LC require DSC to be completely off and isn't enable before break in service, but that part in probably only for M cars.

Another point, even though you need to be in "manual" shifting mode, the car will still shift for you automatically when doing LC.

Ok yes thank you that makes sense. Not sure if the 330e will allow launch control before its done 2500km (as per the manual) but I'll give it a try eventually when I'm feeling brave.
