Apparently no one can (yet). Bmw has some new encryption going on with these new engines that needs to be figured out. Just like before when only piggybacks were available.......

Mission Performance is flashing an M340 as I type this. It'll be going on the dyno tomorrow and I suspect Alex of MP will be posting a thread about results in the coming days. In that the dyno he uses is minutes from my house my Son and I are going to try to swing by.

Do you have a "before" dyno number?

Alex almost always takes a base line first - so I'm sure he'll be sharing before and after with us

Edit: added a few pics I came across on IG

Before you poke it there is a round piece of sticky soft material. Remove it with your hand and save it. You can try to put that back on after you pass the wire through but I didn’t . I just saved it in the car to close the hole in future
I got it. Needed to remove that plastic piece that was in the way the routes water from the dash to the bottom of the car. I assume you have no stalk controls from the dash? I had do setup everything over the cable.

That’s right no control from the dash yet

I got a Bluetooth module still to be installed to change stuff easier than using the usb cable

Once released for public consumption, no. He may however (as he's done in the past) do the first batch in the shop.

For my 340 I have the program loaded on my laptop and flash it from there using a usb to obd cable. Takes minutes

Can you flash back to stock on your own as well?

Yes for sure

**edit** I know I've already posted this but incase you missed it....it's fun every once in a while to flash back to stock for a couple days - it's easy to forget how far the car has advanced on the tune and we all get numb to the power over time - but give stock a try for a couple days (which is still quite a car) when you flash back you say "holly poop"

Do we know how these updates effect piggybacks such as JB4?

The B58 scene has been dead since the F30 340i. It's not as popular as the M's and N54. Trust me I thought the same when I had just purchased my F30 340i.

Yeah it's been pretty disappointing, was hoping Dinan would have something at least. I heard they have an exhaust out but it's not on the site yet. Wouldn't spend that kind of money for 5-10hp gain anyway. The car sounds great as is.
