It will have 255hp according to prevailing leaked information:
http://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=901686 "B48TU in 30i vehicles will get a small power increase to 255hp. This is the engine G20 330i will come with." |

The biggest marketing trick is convincing average Joe he needs a saloon car that doubles as a pseudo-racing car. Whether that has an M3 or M340i badge makes no odds other than profitability and how likely they are to spend more or the next model up next time. (Yes I know they are completely different cars, I am focusing on the process not the content) |

The lead off electric series vehicle is the iX3 according to current info, and that will come 2020. The electric 3 Series has no release date yet. Also, we aren't going to discuss electric vehicles in this thread so please post any further thoughts about that elsewhere. Thanks! |

Putting on my detective hat.
If M340i is xDrive and ZF8, then M3 should follow suit on the fact that M550i and M5 currently follow this formula. If OP information is true, I think this would be the first solid confirmation that G8x M3 will NOT be RWD only and NOT have 6-speed manual. I hope I'm wrong, but it's not looking good. |

I was thinking the same. Doubt they will make it feel less sporty as a M-Performance model.

But just think, you have a 3 series with more up than an E46 M3, and AWD. Tuners gonna go wild. Does this hint to an AWD M3? And BTW, more people should be raving about Genesis G70, which has the same power train as the Stinger GT and is wrapped up in a more pleasing package. |

In my opinion, it's not worth giving up the fun of driving a manual because of a commute. Hell, I'd go buy a beater for commuting before I'd give up that feeling of downshifting to second gear and going WOT. |
