This is the problem with people only using EPA range as a figure. They think the car will fully charge and show that number every single time. In a perfect world, that would be fine most times. But not everyone drives the same. The more important question is how many miles are you actually getting from that full charge. Consume your full battery and see where that gets you. You can’t look at your phone battery at 100% and immediately know it will do XX hours and it be perfectly accurate. It depends on how you use it. And the car is smart enough to try and anticipate that based on previous drives, previous consumption, temperature, topography etc etc

As a side, FYI, these are same or common complaints from Tesla owners. The theoretical miles per full charge is dependent on many factors, # of passengers, using A/C, electronics, lead feet, running on sport mode or boost mode constantly, etc.
I think my i4 adapts the available miles based on my prior driving habit / experience per charging session and how many miles I got out of it. I've been charging to 90% and its usually right at about 200 miles available. |
