Radio doesn’t shutdown

Sometimes when I turn off car and exit, the electronics don’t shut down completely. I have to get back in restart and then repeat the process. I can use the key fob to lock door and that will do the trick when I’m out and about, but that’s a pain when I’m in my garage. I like to leave the keys in the car. Anyone have a remedy?

Mine (-21 iDrive 7) does that too, at times (even though "Turn off when door opens is Active). Try this if it doesn't turn off when you open the door (as last person leaving the car); Press the Volume/OnOff button 2-3 seconds.
