Protect parking sensors from stone chips?
One of my front parking sensors got taken out by a piece of gravel on my 2019 330i, and the repair cost $800 (+ the cost of Ubers).
Could I cut circles out of a piece of PPF to protect the parking sensors or would that interfere with the ultrasonic sensors? How damage-prone are these sensors anyways? Mine had a small dent in the face, but would a small chip or scratch disable the sensor? Thanks.

Not sure about stone chips but I’ve had two BMWs rear-ended, once by a van and once by a beer truck, and on both occasions the sensors were unaffected.

I think I just got unlucky with that gravel incident.
