The burbles you can "add" the OEM ones or custom ones, with Bootmod3. Is expansive, but it does the job.

Yes, sure, Bootmod3 can solve not only issue with burbles and add pops but also increase a power. The only downside you will lose your warranty in a moment ((

Has anyone figured out how to get the selected exhaust options to stick? Would love to do this to have sporty the whole time but wish it would stick/remember my setting

I was just going to ask the same question.

Let me revive this thread. Anyone figured out how to save the engine sounds selection? I updated to the latest software but it's still resetting everytime.

There's actually an effective way to achieve this in iDrive 7 with the help of Bimmercode. I have a muffler delete w/ catless downpipe setup and this setting really helped to minimize the sound output level of my car. I'm on Bootmod3 AGG tune, while the pops and bangs are still there, the engine noise is massively muted in the 'reduced' engine sound setting.

To do this, go into HU_MGU expert mode. Use the search bar at the top of the menu. Type in SOUND and you will see two lines of coding pop up; enable both of these codes, and press code. Attached are results if done correctly, you can access this menu in general settings.

Enjoy!
hi does anyone know if this works / won't break the car for 2021 M340i ?

thanks

Tested on a 22 X6 msport

I tested coding the 2 sound settings in this thread and it didn't make any sound diff but when I set the m_sound active it made the diff sound setting functions work on a g06.

Hi,

I did the manipulation to activate the exhaust menu and the sport plus option. Despite this, my exhaust valve does not open. Am I the only one?

I noticed the G30 LCI came with the engine sound setting by default.

I coded off ASD and activated engine sound on my G20. So first thing before drive, switch to sport engine sound 😉

Same on my G22 M440i - engine sound setting is available on idrive 7, and setting it to sporty, means the exhaust flap is open, even in comfort which I’ve checked.

I tried this on my 2022 M4 Competition. I'm assuming it has iDrive 8. Using this tutorial, I was able to unlock the engine sounds menu. I can scroll through it but cannot click anything to make any changes.

You have the LCI G20 3 series with Idrive 8? How did you have the sound setting by default? I can't find it. Do you have any pictures? Is it the "sporty, balanced, reduced" sound options?
