With respect, you never updated the poll to include people planning on buying the G80. Also, the thread should be called "those disgusted by a car they've never seen!"

I couldn't update it. I contacted two moderators and Jason. Neither moderator could do it and J. never responded.

I saw a white Sportback on the road a few weeks ago and found myself focused on it. It is beautiful in motion.

I'm keeping my M3s but I did go ahead and order a Model 3 AWD. I feel like its the beginning of the end of a 20+ year love affair with BMW. Hopefully I'll be back, but I guess that will depend on BMW

Post pics when you get your Model 3. What did you end up paying for it?

Placed an order for it as none are currently available. Basically on the waitlist but have heard delivery will happen by the end of December (just in time to get last of federal tax credits).

Model 3 LR AWD no FSD white/black 18" aero wheels 48.5k+taxes/license/etc

Damn, none are available anywhere?!? Crazy! The price isn't bad though. Do they offer decent financing options?

If it weren't for my obsession of having something for the track... I would've probably gotten one of these a while ago ... they're beautiful in S or RS trim ...

Agreed! Additionally, if Audi offered a manual transmission I would've considered them already.

I was an audi guy from 2000 (when I got my driver's license) to 2015 and had a few S4's in manual. When I lived in NYC and had my car in a public garage I had an A4 in manual. They abandoned the 6MT community and it cost them 2 sales (for me personally) since.

Having come from the Audi "Community" (there really isn't much of one), I would never go back. BMWs are far superior performance vehicles.

Well. BMW is going the way of Audi. Just at a slower clip.

Horrific Grilles. AWD everything, ZF8 in everything (Manual will be gone shortly), etc etc...

You get the point. Your an obnoxious grille fan correct?

I guess your in the right place

Waiting to see what the G80 truly looks like but I've been shopping 991.1 GT3s and 991.2 GTS. Also waiting to drive the RS6. Considering F90 M5 as well.

Will depend on how ugly the G80 is and how pissed my wife gets if I get another coupe prior to the thought of having kiddos.

Their lease program is no where near as generous as BMW's. If you back into their lease program the residual is 76% which is good, but they pad it by using a 5.5% interest rate. There is no buyout option either and only 10k year mileage allowance. Not exactly flexible lol. You're better off buying it and that's what they want since they need the cash to keep the lights on.

I mean, isn't the M boss from Audi?

Look at the influence that Albert Biermann is having at Kia. They have N cars and all their cars are starting to have BMW-esque double kidney grills. They're basically building affordable BMWs at this point!

Look at what we got? Fugly wannabe Audi's. If I wanted to drive a VAG, I would have went there. Why ruin BMW?!?!

Exactly. The performance speaks volumes. But Have you all owned or driven the GTR? The more I drove this car the more I was in awe. It has the obvious acceleration, crazy performance, hysterical admiration from fellow drivers, etc but the GTR has so much more character than most any other car I've own or driven. Love the i8, GT3, M5 but ordering another GTR....

Driven, yes. Owned, no. I have no interest in owning a sports car that is not a manual.

I really love the look of my F80, but I gotta say, this is beautiful as well. Very happy with it so far.

My dilemma is choosing one of these:
- Buy the G8x M3 and Z51 C8 (would sell my F80 in this scenario) ~ net cost of $120k
- Buy the Z06 C8 (assuming it has a DOHC FPC) and keep my current F80 ~ net cost of $105k
- Buy the 992 GT3 (assuming naturally aspirated) and keep my current F80 ~ net cost of $140k

992 GT3 for $140k? How do you plan on doing that? Do you feel confident you'll get an allocation?

A lot of what you're looking at isn't available yet ... but maybe you could get the C8 when it is available, or at least test drive one .... and then go from there? Can always trade in the F80 later....
