The driver assistance professional program is $1700, but does not include the $700 regular drivers assistant option. I reached out to my advisor, he noted it was weird too. Conceivably the parts included in drivers assistance professional package should include the same type of things that would be needed for the regular package.

I included a screenshot of my 22 original order, where you can see Blindspot detection under ZDA. In my 23 order, there is no documentation for Blindspot detection.

Not sure what is going on, apologies if I’m missing your point. But as the other poster mentioned, could it just be included without documentation? For instance adding in wireless charging removes deletion of digital key, but there is no mention of digital key on the actual order spec sheet. It certainly doesn’t make sense why you have to pick between Blindspot monitoring and adaptive cruise control/traffic jam assist.

I don't think you are missing my point it is just that I don't believe you are being given the correct information or it is a problem in the ordering system (which would be unlikely). I highly doubt that BMW decided to change a rule that has been in place and not require the basic package when ordering DAP. Keep in mind though things change due to production constraints but we have not heard of it being one of the other, just doesn't make sense unless they included the base with DAP. Your CA should reach out to the regional BMW rep to get the details.

What is interesting is that even though the Driving Assistance Professional package is not listed as being an available option for MY23 3 Series it is listed as an option under the Driving Assistance Package. That clearly shows that if DAP is available it can be ordered with the Driving Assistance package.

Does this mean I should contact my client advisor to have him manually add the code? Because from the configurator on the USA site I can’t pick both. I reached out to him earlier today and he told me that it is strange but he can’t imagine why the professional package wouldn’t include the regular package as well

Just pulled up the 2023 ordering guide, professional package states in yellow that you cannot order it with the regular drivers assistance package. So it’s definitely confirmed that you can’t have both in 2023, but having to choose between traffic jam assist and active cruise control versus Blindspot detection seems like a really stupid decision

They must have updated the pricing guide since the version that is posted. So they did change the rule, that makes no sense unless they do include the basic package. Certainly glad I got mine last year.

As an aside, you should generally ignore the Configurator since it is often incorrect. I think you should still ask your CA to reach our to the regional rep to get the information on the packages.

Can you please either post a link to the new guide or attached it on a post so all members can have access to it? Thanks

I really hope this change is due to the chip shortage. If you can't have both DAP and DAP+, it's going to be really stupid. I've been waiting so long to get a M340 and they are going to pull some stupid crap like this?

It makes no sense so we are waiting on confirmation of whether or not the DAP package has been changed to include the items in the base package.

Unfortunately Aenti is not sharing the pricing guide so we don't know what other changes have been made. Perhaps he only has it in paper form.

I thought the option deletion stuff was basically over now. I got my M440i GC, and it literally had everything, including a touchscreen, DAP, DAP+, Parking Assistance Pkg w/ 360 camera, both front seats w/ lumbar, etc. It didn't come with anything my M340i didn't have. Keep in mind that my M340i had the Parking Assistance Pkg which was unavailable on the '22 M340i for much of the year (if not the entire year).

I used a couple of sites to track the ships coming into Bremerhaven to guess which one my car would be on. Turned out I was correct but there is no need to do that. Once you see that it is in transit you can get the ship name from Genius or your CA.

The sites I used were:

https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais...ry:21.5/zoom:5

https://www.fleetmon.com

Marine traffic only tracked from shore AIS but FleetMon offers a free subscription that allows you GPS tracking so you can see the ship going across the ocean.

Active Lane Keep Assist with Side Collision Avoidance is enhanced Blind Spot Monitoring.

No, that's a separate feature in Active Driving Assistant Pro it was never part of the Driving Assistance Package.

If you look in the owners manual for the 2023 you will see that it includes enhanced blind spot detect.

Could be but the Owner's manual does not determine the packages.

Again, means absolutely nothing, We are talking about the driver assistance packages, what is available and what they contain. Only the pricing/ordering guide gives that information.

Looks like their site is down. Once you find out your ship name from your CA or Genius then just search for it. Your departure port is going to be Bremerhaven and your arrival port will probably be Newark, Philly or Baltimore.

Will they know ship name even though my car just in port. Or I have to be in the other status?

Like I said above, you need to wait until your vehicle is In Transit before they know they name.
