Interior disassembly..
Hi all. First thread/post here. I have a 2021 m340 and my blower motor is squeaking like a mouse. I have it unscrewed and the connector unplugged from underneath the dash, however the footwell ducting is right in the way of getting it out. I'm wondering if the glovebox comes out and gives better access? Does anybody have any insight on removing the glovebox on the G20?
Of course taking it to BMW for this issue twice now, it didn't want to make any noise while i was there. So, I'm on my own to try and lubricate it to hopefully shut it up for the time being. |

I'd appreciate the PM too as my fan has started to squeak periodically and it would be great to fix it to avoid the hassle of taking it in to the dealership.

No need to remove the glovebox.
Remove the airbag (if required - not all cars have this). Then remove the air ducting and this gives good access to remove the blower motor. Removed mine last weekend to sort the infamous pollen filter change knocking the air flap out of position and the whole process was under 30mins. |

Can anyone point to any further instructions on how to address this? The SA at BMW Midtown in Houston validated the squeak and then refused to service it as "The blower motor was deemed "operating as designed" . It is within normal operation."
