Hello Everyone,

I have a 320 D G20 and have noticed a rattling/springy sound when the car is nice and warm and has been driven for over 30 minutes.

My local BMW approved dealer and service centre have had a look and done a diagnosis. Noting has come back even after the test drive. As I explained to the BMW centre, you have to drive for at least 30 minutes for this to happen. It happens in low gears from setting off.

The BMW approved centre have said this might be a suspension component. However, all the arms, suspension etc. is OK they have said.

The noise appears to be from the front from the drivers side or under the bonnet area. Exhaust shields are Ok.

Please see the link below it is a bit lengthy but you can definitely hear the noise if you watch all the way though. More prominent when setting off.

Has anyone herd anything like this before. I have a couple of months left on the warranty and don't want to end up paying a fortune should anything serious happen from this.
