M display
Hello guys!
I have a m340i LCI 2024 and I was wondering on how I can change my display to the M display? I’ve seen YouTube videos of people having it but I’m not sure on how they did that. Is there there anyone that may know what they used and where I can purchase this. Link for reference: Reference Video Thank you!! |

Cool! Thank you for responding! Does that affect any warranty? Just my first time coding something just wanna make sure. I also didn’t see it listed as a possible code on the bimmercode website so I was a little confused on that as well.

You can get a OBD2 connects like OBDlink CX (I believe) and do it through BimmerCode… correct me if I’m wrong, I changed mine to alpine through that so I can see my rpm easier in sport.
Edit: saw your question about warranty no it doesn’t, sometimes dealership will flash it back, they did to me last time, but just takes 30 or so minutes to get it back. Also not so sure abo it the M Race mode, I have not seen that but I’m sure that if you actually connected it to a computer and went through files you can. I’ll edit this again if I find the YouTube video for reference, they added a entire new M page to there drive profile and everything so more in depth but helpful. |

Not sure which one OP is talking about... Here's a thread of someone that installed it, I'm sure OP can find more threads on this forum about the subject: https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1893421. (this is a pre lci cluster, I don't know if it's the same for the lci dashboard) |

It might be a different story if you need to add the M Track module. (they never made a problem from the mods I did to my f30, but I never had any issues either until my chain broke a few months ago) I don't have bimmercode, but I know it only shows very common, easy codes, which bimmercode will change all the necessary ecu's/values for you. For the more elaborate codings you'll need to go into expert mode and change the values yourself. It sounds difficult, but with a cheat sheet it's pretty easy, just make sure you only change things that have been proven to work and stay away from experimenting yourself (change the wrong things and you run the risk of ending up with a really expensive paperweight). I suggest you read a lot about coding to understand what you are doing or ask someone with experience to do it for you. Everything I know about coding, I learned from this forum. Here's a thread to get you started, it's with the e-sys program, but bimmercode is a dumbed down phone app that basically does the same for you (coding is coding, no matter which program/app you use): https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1673049 This thread contains a lot of things you can code with the ecu's and values you need to change: https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1789488 Last edited by KingpinRCR; 08-12-2024 at 05:16 PM.. |
