I am still on 11/2023.73 I did receive two prior updates since I got the car. So I don't think mine is out of sync.

in US, i believe the 11/23 is still the newest. my 24 m340 is still on that and i check the app frequently for updates

I had my car at the dealer for a Bluetooth problem and I got it back with 7/2024.30, so there is a newer version than what you have out there. I have not seen anybody post they were OTA updated to this new version yet, so perhaps BMW has not started rolling it out yet.

Not true. Plenty of posts across Bimmerpost showing 03/24 rolled out in the US OTA months ago.

I am still on 03/2023.50. BMW App had downloaded 11/2023.50 two times and both failed to install in car. Both times it stated that it was available for installation and wait for car to tell you when it's ready for installation. Then shortly after (couple weeks both times) it then expired and went away and still stuck with version 03/2023.50.

Any ideas how to resolve this? Thanks.

Wow, I've only heard of it being rolled out in US if in the dealer for service. interesting, I wonder why mine hasnt updated OTA yet then. hmm

In the footnote they state:
[1]Available for vehicles with BMW Operating System 8.5.
[2] Available for vehicles with BMW Operating System 9.

We'll have to see..

I'd hope to see at least the feature to have both keys linked to the same driver profile on iDrive 8

There is not a single function updated or added in that change log that is available for OS 8.0. All enhancements are just for 8.5 or 9.0. So BMW seems to does not plan to further develop and polish OS8.0...it will be just bug fixes onwards for G2X.

My 2023 LCI1 updated to 07/2024.30. No changes spotted so far, had to reset iDrive as mirrors were not folding when locking and IC content was missing.

I installed the new 07/2024.30 update yesterday. Didn't notice any changes (other than having to reinstall my bimmercode settings and XHP flash tune).

2022 330i. version 07.2024.??. Car was in garage with full battery charge after driving it an hour. Waiting for a tow truck to tow it to the dealer. If the dealer can't fix it tomorrow, I'll be without a car until Tuesday if they fix it then. No loaners available. Uber and rental cars costs will be mine.

Anybody notice that the instantaneous fuel economy refresh rate is super slow now? Only responds to large changes otherwise will stick to 1 number until you really change how much throttle / fuel being used.

I had my car updated today to 7/2024.40 at the dealer and this is the first thing I noticed. "Live" mpg display is super laggy, the overall MPG average seems lower than normal as well.

Horrible! I feel my average seems about right but I only had my car for a week prior to updating it.

BMW does not care, nor want, to support 8.0 or earlier. They are still very much a legacy automaker when it comes to software.

I’m new to the forum and looking for advice….

I bought a used 2020 230i convertible a year or so ago and am enjoying it. I just realized how out of date the maps were and confirmed it still had the original 2019 maps. I confirmed that the car is supposed to get OTA map updates through next year but that obviously isn’t happening.

After MANY calls with bmw I’ve been told that:
1. If the baseline map isn’t continuously updates subsequent updates are too large and no OTA updates are performed.
2. BMW will not provide a new baseline map so that OTA updates can resume.
3. The only way to get the baseline map is to go to the local dealer who wants $365 to load the map.
4. Suggested going to software updates on bmw.com site but that goes nowhere.

I find this frustrating since their system was supposed to automatically do OTA map updates for 5 years at no cost. I feel like they should provide a new baseline map free of (or at minimal) charge. BMW has, at numerous levels, shown no interest in working out a solution for me. So I’m stuck with old maps, $365 at dealer, or 3rd party map purchase.

I’d love to hear back from forum members what their experience has been, whether I’m just out of line with my expectations, or suggested solutions.
