Thanks Randy that means a lot to me. It’s a labor of love and I’m happy that you are enjoying it . Adding a sub is super easy and makes a big difference in the overal depth to the music plus I like a little punch. .

Installed this today, didn’t have space to install behind the compartment as it seems there is a motor there on my car (2019 MY).

Interestingly the oem amp is H/K branded even though I have S676 audio

Harman Becker make all the amps/headunits for BMW, that's why. Even the B+W one (it's all the same company)

In case it's helpful to anyone, this is my "final" 8DSP tune before I add a stealth sub in the trunk.

Speakers:

Front: Morel IR-BMW42
Center: IR-BMW42-CTR
Rear: Morel IR-BMW4INT
Under seat: 2 x Morel IP-BMWSUB82

I'm frankly shocked at the musical low end that's possible with these under seats subs. If I wasn't a tinkerer, I'd prob skip the stealth sub, but that's not the case and I've wanted to play around with a Morel Ultimo for some time.

Nice set up with those speakers. I’m still using the stock speakers and they sound pretty good but I wish I had the ability to listen to something high-end like that to see the difference. I’m sure they sound amazing.

Hi, I am installing this amp on Friday and adding a sub in my boot. Am worried about not being able to set the sound up correctly and by the sounds of it yours sounds great. Is there any way you could send me a copy of the file over? That would be brilliant if you can or anyone else that has set their system up with a Sub in the boot :-)

That’s a really nice subwoofer. Mine is an AudioFrog GB10D4. I’ve always heard that the ultimo is THE most transparent subwoofer they’ve ever used. But the way it blends is absolutely addictive. Don’t turn it up too much 😁

I have my Match UP8 on the way! Initially, I was just going to upgrade the amp only to use with my stock HiFi 676 speakers. But I had the opportunity to pick up a previously used Bimmertech wiring harness, mounting brackets and these for a decent price...

I had mine installed today but no access to a laptop so have ordered a long USB extension cable to connect to my PC so that I can change the audio file as the standard setup has way to much bass to the front and the rear sub sounds nothing like it used to in my old 2013 BMW. Hoping the file you shared will sort this all out :-)

Hoping its easy to save the current one and then its not too difficult to transfer new file to the amp.

May I ask... what standard setup (tune) are you using? From Audiotec Fischer? Or from AllWoodsAudio?

i tried the one from audiotech first but it sounded flat as the speakers were not dspd and there was little done to crossovers, etc. i based my tune on the one from allsgood then tweaked from there.

I have a question. When I disconnect the neg terminal on the car battery to do all the connections for the subwoofer and it's amp, will there be any issues with losing radio presets, coding (I use Bimmercode)? Do I need to plug in some type of external battery to the 12volt outlet in the trunk?

I was worried about that at first as well, but it does not eliminate your settings on your radio or your BimmerCode
