Picked up a CPO 2021 330i last week, has every package except DAP and Harmon Kardon. I want to upgrade the sound system, as the Hifi clarity is alright (doesn't sound very full) but the volume level sucks unless I crank it all the way. Also the bass could be a little punchier. I don't want to spend more than like $1500 on upgrading the sound, so should I do the amp or speakers? I'm looking at BimmerTech Alpha One products by the way. Has anyone bought their Hifi speakers or amps before?

I got this too, and without changing or adding sub. With proper settings, it sounds way better than stock.

You tempted to upgrade the speakers afterwards?

Purchased both alpha amp and all speaker replacement from bimmertech the sound is much improved over base sound system that came with car

Can I please ask why you can't just hook up an aftermarket amp and sub to the hifi system?

I have a 3 days old to me 21 330i and the hifi system for me is garbage. I like fast heavy music that hits real hard, (slam death metal). I would love if getting that amp fixes it and I can replace the seat subs later? The hifi system just makes me cringe above 60ish % volume.

I'm trying to research here and read but it's all overwhelming and different opinions of what to do for this problem. Please help me lol.

You can definitely add a multi-channel straight or DSP amp to the system with a separate enclosed sub. Thats probably the route you'd be most happy with given your music preferences. You won't get the punch you're looking for from the under-seat subs, even with an amp upgrade. Amp and sub upgrade including install with decent quality components would run closer to $2K.

The easiest and most effective audio upgrade for the cost for this HiFi system is to plug a Match UP 8BMW to it.

This is what you are getting:

Then replace the OEM woofers with a pair of SWS-8Xi, leave the rest of the OEM speakers in place.

All as much plug and play as possible, with great audio improvement everywhere for less than ~$1400.
