Phone no longer will connect
Last Friday Andriod auto was working. Saturday afternoon, my phone will no longer connect to the car. The cars bluetooth just stopped working, and won't allow me to retry to connect. Any suggestions?
Thanks Chris |

Common question. I do not have explanation, but I have a solution. Turn the engine on and hold volume button pressed 30 seconds so you can do head unit reset. Should be fine after that.
I would also love to hear the explanation why is this happening if someone knows. |

Mine just did that to me yesterday. Worked fine driving to work, but when I went home it was saying Bluetooth wasn't compatible. This morning, I noticed it wasnt turning my wifi on, on my phone. I turned on wifi and had to connect my phone again to the car. This was done on car settings and had to scan a code using my phone. Android auto now works again.

Happened several times with my iPhone on iDrive 8, saying "bluetooth no longer compatible."
Sounds to me like a software bug with iDrive bluetooth implementation since it's happening with both Android and iPhone. What I can't figure out is why no OTA update by now to fix the issue. I'm still on 11/2023 with a 2024 340. I'm curious if it's still happening for anyone that was updated to 7/2024 iDrive firmware. |
