AWE resonated vs non resonated
Hello all! I知 in the process of getting my exhaust right now, and I知 stuck between resonated vs non resonated for the AWE touring exhaust. I知 currently stock but I have plans to get the AA catted downpipe and I know it is recommended to get the resonated exhaust with an aftermarket downpipe but I was wondering if anybody has one with the non resonated exhaust. I know I can add it later if I wanted.

Since you are upgrading the downpipe, i recommend you get the resonated version

Neither is my car btw, nor have I heard either one in person. I've heard AA DP with MAD exhaust in person and that is too loud for me. |

How would you compare just AA DP vs just AWE Non-resonated Touring? Which one would be louder, which one would be deeper sound and how would you describe the tone with either option? No one seems to have AWE touring exhaust in LA to hear in person. Or just with AA DP. |

Which one would you say is louder, the DP or AWE? What if I combine the DP with the SST valve controller? I wont tune the car, btw. Sounds like a good plan. |

I壇 personally do a valved set up if you plan on changing the DP to give you the option of it being quiet on the highway. The AA DP changed the sound more than I thought on my 2020. The Dinan is quite a bit cheaper than the AWE and you値l be louder than the AWE with the valves open and quieter with them closed. But I壇 do the resonated one if you really want AWE.

This makes me lean towards AWE again. I wish I could hear them in person. |

I have the AWE non resonated and it's loud on start up and when you get on it. I am planning on getting a downpipe and I prob will have to get the resonator bc as much as I like the loud deep tone I hate the police attention it comes with in LA.

I see you're a 2020. You can easily tune out the cold start mode and it will start up super quiet (if you want to go down the tuning path).

Op,
I would highly encourage going with a valved system like we offer that way you can have both sounds at a click of a button without compromising.

All depends how soon you are planning to upgrade to the downpipes IMO, if its sooner rather than later I would go with the resonated, but if you are planning it down the road, go with non-res if that is what you are leaning towards. Either way you can swap resonated to non or vise versa at any time, we got your back |
