This could be a solution, but I have a 2021 M340 and I understand this car had to have some factory wiring accomplished to install this CD player...what do you know about that?

Yes that is correct, your vehicle needs to be equipped with preparation external CD drive option.

Which can be checked when we run your VIN.

This item is also retrofitted into your glove box compartment.
