How to Change Name in Driver’s Profile

I feel like a doofus cause I typed my entire first and last name when initially setting it up. Now I just want to be greeted with my first name (shortened version). Do I actually have to call BMW for this or is there a workaround in the idrive system?

Can't you update in the MyBMW app on the Profile tab (furthest right), then Settings (top right cog), Profile data, Personal Information

You can choose to use only first name in greetings in car settings.

It's a combination of both suggestions and definitely works for me. To only display first name, you hit the profile icon on the iDrive, settings and Set Title.

In MyBMW, it takes whatever you've set as First Name and not nickname.

I just changed mine back from Steve to Steven and it changed in the car almost immediately.

Yes, but I was inquiring about changing your name. As in changing it to the shorten version of your name (William=Will etc...).
