Spacers

So I just took delivery of ACS spacers for my 340. They come with longer bolts but it never occurred to me they r silver and my wheels are black. Also no locking wheel nut of course.

Any idea where I can source them from or maybe get them chemically blackened?

Sure thing - it's gives you a good starting point. There are plenty of other establishments with a million different options, all depends on what you are looking for

Also, if you are contemplating the purchase of Dinan bolts give Mike a shout from Extreme Power House as he has always been fantastic with pricing and shipping - he is a forum vendor.

If you bought them from us and they haven't been fitted you're welcome to return them in exchange for Eibach spacers, which come with black bolts and lockers:

https://shop.ac-schnitzer.co.uk/eiba...om-10673-p.asp

Just pay the price difference.

Lorcan I think I will do that then will ring at the weekend to sort out returns and replacement. Springs fitted yesterday well pleased - but does now need the spacers to finish it off!
Thx

So finally had all the work done really please with the end result she sits quite a bit lower I've had to change my foot position on entry exit as the side skirts now clip my heel.

Combination of shadowline, black gloss M sport body kit, ACS lowered springs and 10mm spacers.

Thx to @Lorcan for your help and support.

Now … to chip or not to chip …

BMW M sport kit fitted by the dealer. Front splitter is now LOW. Just know that's going to end in tears!

Looks great. See you got the bolts done, too late now but I could have chemically blacked them for you had I seen this before.

Looks good Nil98. My car should be with me in around 2 weeks, I can see me making a visit to Lorcan soon afterwards.

What are your initial impressions on the ride now compared to stock?

Looks great that. Don't think I'm too fussed about spacers as I'd rather not mess with geometry but I'm interested in the springs, are they directly compatible with the m adaptive suspension? If so what's the cost with fitting if you don't mind?

Feels more glued to the ground tbh the bmw specialist that fitted the springs also commented on the ride/grip. It's not a massive drop against 340i standard.

They are only 10mm and all my research said a small spacer like that will make little or no difference to the geometry. And u need a 4 wheel geometry setup as part of the install.

And yes mine has the adaptive suspension. Talk to Lorcan they r very knowledgeable there.

You're welcome to pay me a visit of course, but you could save yourself a trip and use our dealer near you - Stourbridge Automotive.

Doubt you could even feel 10mm. I could just about feel 20mm on my daily. The springs are compatible with adaptive, no change there. Just to clarify, it's the spring kit that needs the wheel alignment checked, not the spacers.

Fitting prices vary according to the dealer's labour rate. Let me know your location if you want me to recommend someone

Thanks, im leeds way.

Only thing which gives me cold sweats about having it done is how particular I am with the condition of the car and wheels, its been fully corrected and coated so sending it in for any work doing gives me anxiety 😂

I lowered mine and not had any problems with front M performance front. Mine is currently on eibach springs

What size rims have you got on the G21 ? 19" or 20" as they fit well and wonder if I should run 10mm spacers

Mine are standard 19's but after the springs were fitted it cried out for the spacers tbh.

Our dealer in Leeds, Project Customs, is an authorised McLaren bodyshop so they are used to handling expensive cars for particular clients. They also do a lot of chassis work, so I'm sure they would look after you well.

https://www.projectcustoms.com - ask for Craig.

BMW wheels have a fairly conservative offset so can look quite tucked in when the car is lowered. 10 or 12mm spacers would have it sitting nice and flush, and make it look lower by narrowing the arch gap.

We sell AC Schnitzer 10mm with chrome bolts (no lockers) or a choice of Eibach spacers with black bolts and lockers.

Thanks, much appreciated! Presume they will be able to answer queries on warranty etc the same as having the work done at an authorised bmw dealer?
