Removing exhaust tips

Looking for a way to remove the round exhaust tips on my G20 330e and swap them with the 340i versions, had this in mind:

https://smile.amazon.co.uk/TGFOF-Dif...438683&sr=8-54

However I had a quick look underneath and can't see a way to remove the grey exhaust cover (tip).
Mine also looks round but the 340i style seems to be more oval so not sure it would ever fit anyway.

Anyone did this to theirs? Possible? If not I'll just swap them with round ones I guess

Pretty easy to remove . On top side the exhaust tip has a snick ( not sure about the term) with 2 metal blades to fix it on a pin located on the exhaust tube. With a small screw driver for instance you should push laterally the metal blades to release the tip from the pin and them just pull it , should come with minimal effort .
Hope it helps

Thanks and yeah I had a closer look and I can see it.
Thought they were just pushed on with clips on the inside.

Any idea what the inlet/outlet diameters are? Not near the car for a few days so I can't check.

To remove the stock tips, all you need to do is pull real hard. Wear thick workmen's gloves, sit on the floor, push your foot against the rear tyre and pull the tips with all your might. It'll slide right off. It's a little hard because of the pins on top but it's possible (that's how I did it).

This is the way but OP if yours is like mine you will need some pulling power to get them off my passenger side took serious effort to remove.

I agree. My driver's side was wedged in there real tight too. Had to pull with all my might and then wiggle it a bit. I thought I was going to pull the whole exhaust system out!

It was your experience and encouragement that made me persevere with it as yes it also felt like I was going to take the entire exhaust with me too

Like I always say. If I can do it, anybody can. I'm glad the tips on the 330i are so easy to remove. It's harder in other cars, requiring either a car lift or a very flexible body, neither of which I have

I have to say though I'm in the same boat on both counts as well

Thought of doing the same with my G21. Do you know if the original 340 diffuser will fit my car? I have a trailer hook on my car. Possibly only the original diffuser will fit?

I used some WD-40 to grease up space between the exhaust and the overlapping tips. Pulled and wiggled hard, but nothing that required near full force tugging. I replaced the stock tips with Shadowline tips, and those went back on very easy.
