Belgium, 330e with m sport pack, 10/2020 has the B48B20A engine.
After checking the code on the engine, I actually found it in my technical documentation that came with the car. At first I was disappointed, but then I thought that I would not tune the car in any case, as I would lose the warranty. Also in xtraboost mode 300hp is very decent, at least in Europe. Edit: the b can indeed be tuned to around 450 hp without mods... 😅 |

It seems that there are two tanks for the cooling system. Is this a valid argument for saying this engine is the B type?

Unfortunately, this method does not seem to be correct for my car G21 330e 2021/01. I have two tanks, but the engine is marked as A on the engine block.

It is easy to find the engine code in the certificate of conformity (item 21: motorcode) rather than peeking inside the engine bay. But maybe the certificate of conformity is different/absent depending on the country you live in.
Not sure if it's related to the engine but I have the RWD version in combination with the B48B20B engine. Greets |

So I have a B46B20B - unless I can't see it well but double-checked and seems to be a valid engine. Tunable?
My build date was August 2020, just picked it up this past month. |

It seems that the x-drive models are with the 20A engine. On the block of my car, the number says B48B20A, but checking the VIN number there is an old 318 who comes up.. If I check another place, it stands B46B20B?!?!?

Sorry to dig this up but there’s not much posted about the 530e. I cannot locate this stamp on my engine. Would you mind sharing a picture from a wider angle showing where this is located?

it is not 330e, but I got 530e with B46B20B
over the weekend, I tuned through bm3 stage 1 93 oct. HOLY MOLY car is so much faster! like day and night difference. I am coming from f80 m3, but this is no joke... the amount of torque is insane. almost as fast as my old m3(stock map) at least off the line/dig. if anyone who has B46/48B20B I def recommend to tune. |

2022 (Sept 2021) 330e 2WD
NA built (Mexico) B46B20B I do have a Racechip GTS+ App from my previous car that came with 1 free reprogram. Just had to pay $20 to get a new adapter harness. Still have not installed it 8 months later :-( Likely because I have a short 5-8 mile commute each way so only driven 300 miles using ICE compared to 3200 miles on Electric
