Why the 3 series has normal grill?
All of the 4 series have the big grill now, but I'm wondering why only the 3 series M has it when the other 3 series don't? The new M3 almost seems like a 3.5 model version.

They want the 4 Series and the full on ///M models to stand out and “make a statement”. And to be differentiated from the 3 Series.

The M3 and m4 share the same front end from the coupe, it has been like this for the last 3 generations. Likely for a few reasons the most prominent being 1)maintain the branding of the two M cars as twins 2)cost savings, only 1 facia needs to be designed to meet the unique front end cooling needs of the M models.
