Does the 2020 or 2021 M340i B58 Engine have a dry sump oil pump
I order a 2021 M340xi and planning taking it to the track a few times a year, however I'm concern about one of the track that I will using which as a long sweeping bend with a steep bank that will cause the oil in the oil pan to move quite a bit and possibly starve the engine of oil.
Does anyone knows if this will be an issue with the G20 B58 engines for the M340i. Thanks |

I'm pretty sure these cars do not have a dry sump oil pump.

A better question might be: is there any baffling in the pan?

That makes sense just need to keep your eyes on oil pressure to make sure it does not drop significantly. I'm getting the Bimmerlink app which you can configure to show oil pressure. My M340 which I just got last week has the cooling package which comes with an oil and transmission cooling system and larger bake rotors and calipers all good for track days so I think it should be fine to track this car around 4 times a year.
