Moving past the horrid grills... What is up with that color scheme? The entire look delivers a message that is the polar opposite of masculinity. Perhaps market research says a feminine look is what EV buyers like? Maybe it would look better to my eye with a black-on-black color scheme?
(This is a genuine observation and not intended to be a cheap attack)

Having owned 4 Battery Electric Vehicles, I agree wholeheartedly.

If BMW wants to really self destruct they will but these disgusting grilles on all their vehicles.

I'd say the Audi E-Tron is the least weird looking EV and pretty much matches up with other Audi's. The Mini Cooper EV could also be added, although the regular ICE Cooper is pretty quirky as it is, but the two don't have too many design differentiations between them.
Funny you should list those cars, since I think they're all butt ugly. Incredibly ugly and weird-looking, including the E-Tron.

Really, what's so weird about the E-Tron? Looks like every other Audi SUV.

Well, should be interesting to see if BMW are doing like the former i´s, releasing a concept, then make the product version very very close to the concept.

The colors are soft and experimental, will not make it to final product.
The overall design outside and inside is positive, clean, despite the ugly MB LCD.
Also the front with the kidney, looks more natural than the X7 and 7 LCI to me.
I think we have a far better product here than the joke iX3, a RWD SUV.
Wonder how the price is going to be, probably close to the model S?
As with the rumored specs and range, i think its a good effort overall from BMW.

The connected grill from the inext looked a lot better than the separated grills that look like buckteeth.

Looks fine for an e-car. They should be completely different and unusual looking. An M GMBH product should look nothing like that though; a least not the front end. Oh no too late!!

Still don't like the grill. If new 4 series coupe/GC looks like this I will take G20 for sure.

What in the world could be hiding under that large front bonnet? No way it's all Frunk, right? My guess is that we are also looking at the future 4 Series Gran Coupe which will be petrol powered and/or hybrid.

Yet another design being amalgamated for multi-use rather than a true dedicated EV platform.

If I was interested in this type of car, I would be pretty excited now.
I really like the sleek, no-frills design and the new kidney grill looks really good in the surrounding clearly structured front.
But the Z4 Concept also looked good, and then ...

I love everything about it but the lack of a hoffmeister kink is a deal killer. It may sound weird but I like my BMW's with a hoffmeister kink, kidney grilles, L shaped taillights and quad 'angel eyes'. The only cars they make right now that have all these qualities are the 7 series, 5 series and 2 series unfortunately. I want a BMW that looks like a BMW, not like an Audi. I hope the next generation of BMWs can go back to the well established design language of the brand and stop trying to look like an Audi/Lexus/Infiniti. I really wanted this to be my first electric car..

What do you want to know?
Percentage wise?'I would say 90%.
This Concept is virtually THE 4 Concept but as a Gran Coupe. So the elements you see on leaked photos and spy photographs of the Coupe are carried over to the production Gran Coupe/i4.

I wonder how "real" is this concept relative to i4, actual car is coming out as 2021 model? so production starts in June this year?

It looks a lot like the iNext they showed at the 2018 LA auto show. I personally love it and if I can convince the wife to overlook the grills I'll definitely buy one

It's called the i4, so they likely want it to share some elements of 4 series design language, hence the vestigial grill.

Indeed. If someone wants to go buy a jellybean on wheels in one of two interior color choices there's always Tesla.

I like it a lot. However, it is not a $50,000 car. I am still ordering the Tesla 3 at $50,000. I'll wait until the interest rates come down over the next month or two, as the Corona Virus ripples through the US.
