From Munich, feasible to get Frozen Grey M340i build?

I have a factory order 2021 M340i that will hit 150 status or whatever status where you cannot modify the build sometime in January. I live in the USA. Two BMW individual colors were able to be ordered (Dravit Grey and Tanzanite Blue II) on the BMW USA website until sometime this summer, when the individual colors were yanked from the USA configurator. BMW individual colors are not currently available from the Mexico plant (the reason why the options are no longer there) so the order was flexed by my dealer to Munich in order for me to get Dravit Grey Individual paint in the build. The car will now be built at the Munich plant and shipped over here. The Dravit is a ~1900 charge which is what it would have been previously on the USA configurator, without extra charge for what I'm doing here.

I have seen the First Edition M340i build that came out early this year with the Frozen Grey Individual paint finish now, and I am absolutely in love with it. What a beautiful paint. I am wondering if it would be possible with the standard charge (Dravit Grey I'm paying 1900 for, the Frozen Grey should be 3600 or thereabouts) to change to that paint finish at the Munich plant. It was not one of the BMW Individual paints previously available with the configurator for the M340i (it is available on the M3).

If it is something that would be truly individualized and add a bunch more money to the cost of the car, like BMW Individual Manufaktur, than the $3600, I wouldn't do it. I completely understand something else like merino leather or alcantara headliner that isn't standard on any M340i being inordinately more expensive if I chose to do it because it would literally require engineers to figure out how to measure/cut/install it in a one-off fashion for a single person's order. I would think that paint would be different because of the way in which it is applied. Shouldn't require all of the extra benchwork by the engineers and factory operators to make it happen.

Totally niche question here but I'm hoping someone might have an answer before I have my dealer who is clueless on this stuff try to dig into this possibility.

Hi
Not sure but if you do a search on this forum the average cost seems to be around $5000 USD. For a frozen paint from what I can see anyway. I have the car that you mention and I agree......the color is amazing!

Ooh, is that one of the First Edition M340i's that came out earlier this year? Or were you able to do the Frozen color on the configurator some other way in Canada?

It was one of the first editions! My dealer had preordered one and I grabbed it.

You need a full Individual Build to get the special paint program. There is a separate order and approval process. I do not think a regular serial order can be switched to Individual after it has been sent in. Check with your sales expert and see if they even participate in the Individual program. Some dealerships do not bother with it.

My big question is whether the Individual order would cost more (aside from the increased cost of that paint, would the options I already have chosen in the configurator cost more as a part of that program than if they weren't part of the program?)...

No, if your order is accepted it is only the paint that gets surcharged, every other usual option comes at the usual price

No, the cost is just the paint if that is all you are getting. Unlike Mercedes-Benz where you have to deal with a $3000 charge just to get into their Designo Manufaktur program. BMW also offers Individual interior colors, expanded leathers, and trims on some models.
