Fjord blue/black - yay or nay?

I'm looking at an M340I in Nardo Gray, but it has the blue interior which I'm just not sure about. I haven't seen it in person yet, but will include a picture from the BMW website.

It certainly would not be my first choice for a color. What do you think?

I actually really like a blue interior, but I’m not crazy about this one. I think it’s the two tone black and blue seats. I’d prefer that the seats be all blue.

It's the M Performance Edition and I think it looks great. Here's a video that shows the interior.

Thanks for the link! The blue doesn't look so dark (navy) in the video as compared to the BMW website. To me, that's better. And the Nardo Grey is simply a fabulous color.

I'm curious how the performance exhaust sounds...

Here is the blue with a lighter colour which really shows it properly. Goes great with the grey imho.

Is it a coincidence the nardo grey has the blue interior or were these particular cars built a specific way? The rims and color isn't shown on the BMW Canada website (yet) and I'm not sure the spoiler parts are either. Do all M340I have the M performance exhaust?

No the regular M340i does not come with the M Performance Exhaust. See above post...the M Performance Edition does come with it though.

Thank you for the links, it has been very informative! The dealer invoice I saw for the vehicle also indicated it has the laser headlights. I was surprised by that.

Highly recommend the laser headlamp option especially here I. Canada. They are quite the difference.

I'm not sure about Canada but I think the US version only has different high beams but the low beams are the same output. The DRLs of course look better.

My guess is the US won't get this car.

Probably not. These have been in production since November. It's like they want to torture the US with these special editions and options available basically everywhere else in the world.

Wow, Canada seems to always get the cool stuff so expect next MY for USA to get this just like the shadow line trim package which we didn't get for the 2020MY here until the 2021 MY M340.

These don't even seem to be on the BMW Canada website. The only thing we don't know is how much of an extra charge there is for the Nardo Gray paint. The dealer tracking system states there may be extra charge. I hope it isn't $5k extra.

Here is another beautiful M340ix that is one of the special specs. Might be a little pricey because of the special paint and Merino leather but it's spectacular. I have the M340xi 1st edition loaded and I was able to work a great deal. These cars are around if you really want to find them.

Couldn't find any good photos of the interior color combo, but personally I'm gonna say nay, maybe it looks better in person? Blue interiors are always very hard to judge and there's some that I like but personally I don't think its the best interior color.

While US buyers sadly don't get Individual interior options, of the ones I've seen from the Canadian website as well as pics here and there on the forums, I do really like the Ivory White and Tartufo Individual Merino interiors. Fiona Red/Black is good but nothing too special considering red interiors are so common (although somehow not available in the US G20 )

Here it is. It's a little too light for my taste but I actually think it does compliment the Nardo exterior.

I don't mind it, but I much prefer the beige interior I see on something like the X5M. My Z4 and X3 are both Alpine white with red interiors.

At least it's not mocha...

These retail about $5k more MSRP than a comparable fully loaded 340I. I'm getting a great deal, so the cost difference is a moot point for me.

The ones linked in this thread don't appear to have adaptive cruise control and from what I can tell, they are all configured with the exact same options. I have had a lot of issues with adaptive cruise control on my X3. At least they have adaptive suspension, or I would not consider them at all.

Just curious, are you going to replace one of your current cars or have three cars?
