Auto High Beam

Hi,

Really like the automatic high beam feature. I use it all the time -- will eventually "de-code" the anti-dazzle that BMW did to all US cars.

Regardless, there is one aspect of the automatic high beam that I can't figure out. I know that you have to have the Auto button on (with its green light on) and the button on the bottom end of the left stalk so the gree headlight with A icon is on the Instrument cluster.

I always use it, but there are times when I start the car when it's on & times when it's not.

My question is how do you keep it on all the time? Is there some iDrive check box I'n missing? Or is there some coding to be done, like we all have done to the ASS switch?

Appreciate any suggestions or help

Thanks

That is likely a timing issue coded in other module like BDC.

When it's off do you recall flashing your high beams? Mines always on until I flash my high beams at someone and then I have to turn the auto back on again.

No, sorry. I will try to remember to take a look next time I explore files.

Am sure I hadn't flashed high beams, but I do recall using the other button (BC) to change display on dash -- and I'm careful not to touch the other button

Thanks
