Looks good. The new soft top has a much cleaner look than the old folding hardtop.

It will just need to be debadged or order yourself a gloss black 430i badge to swap out when it comes in.

The Chrome 430i badge on the back is going to be replaced with a Black one for sure. As far as delivery, here's what the sales consultant wrote me. I'm just going to have to be patient.

"Unfortunately, this vehicle, production number 3675426, is a new model year vehicle we cannot provide a delivery date at this time. Every year EPA and CARB Certifications, which are issued by the government, must be obtained for every new model year vehicle and BMW NA must receive those certifications before a vehicle can be delivered to a customer. An Engineering Data hold as well as a Release hold will be placed on this vehicle once it reaches production status 155 (non-modifiable status). Neither of those holds will be removed until BMW NA receives the necessary certifications from the appropriate government agencies.

Before BMW can provide a tentative delivery date for you we must wait for both the Engineering Data and the Release holds to be removed from the vehicle. This vehicle will remain at the Vehicle Distribution Center (VDC) / Vehicle Processing Center (VPC) until the certifications have been received and both the Engineering Data hold and Release hold have been removed. This vehicle cannot be shipped to your BMW Retail Center or to the BMW Performance Center until both holds have been removed.

Your reservation has been placed in line for processing and BMW will contact you with a delivery date as soon as both the Engineering Data and Release holds have been removed."

Update! 430i convertible is "In Transit". Anyone know how long it takes after this? Hopefully no more than another 6-8 weeks for delivery to the BMW Performance Center for pickup!

Just downloaded this info tonight. Arrives in Baltimore on 3/1. My CA feels it should be at the PFC on 3/5. Waiting to get a confirmed PU date.

My 430i convertible is in the states and on its way to the PFC for pickup in early April. My CA said that there is an airbag recall for this vehicle that could delay delivery.

What kind of deal did you get if you don’t mind sharing. I’m currently in process of making a deal and would like to see what other people got. Most BMWs I spoke say they are not willing to give a big discount since the car is new. I currently got 5% off MSRP before loyalty incentive but trying to do better.

Overall discount from MSRP was about 3% for my convertible. That was okay because the dealer really stepped up on the value of my low mileage 2016 535Xi trade in.

This is the latest information from the NHTSA regarding the recall. No specific date when this issue will be resolved. Neither my CA or the BMW Genius have any more information. My 430i convertible has been in the US since March 3rd. Very frustrating! I'm sure all of us waiting for our cars would appreciate any updates others may hear about, especially any deliveries.

I have just joined the forum today. I too am waiting on my (Wife’s) G22 430i Convertible, it landed and was put on hold for the airbag recall. Two days ago according to my sales rep, it was released to the transport company for delivery to the dealer. He believes it should be in soon and that work has been completed. We’ll see if he is right.

Welcome to the forum. They came out with a software update to take care of the problem so he is likely correct.

Thanks for the welcome. Good news about the solution, now just wondering how long the trip from the port to the dealership will take? Brunswick Ga, to Chattanooga should be fairly fast.
