I know when I was reading all the information on coding I initially felt overwhelmed and was hoping to find a step by step YouTube video. It ultimately is easier than the written instructions sound on this forum but I decided to make a quick video showing myself initially coding the extra ambient lighting color combos.

Hopefully this will help someone who feels worried about coding and show them how easy it really is. If I can do it then so can you!

Also have another video showing how to code Sport + on my page which is shorter and easier.

Have a good one everyone and stay safe.

Nice. Very helpful! Is there anyway to change the labels in idrive so that it states the correct colors?

No one has been able to figure that out yet, unfortunately.

I'll be checking the coding page of this forum frequently so if anyone figures it out I'll post an update here as well.

Really? Haha

I would've thought all 3 series had a lockable glovebox. Mine is a 2021, not sure if it's new to the year?

Either the year or the region; I am in the US. Curious to find out which it is now.

I believe it's a US thing. I have the lockable glove box lid too and mine is a MY2020 that I got in 2019.

Less crime over here hahah that's why we don't need one

Only kidding my previous 5 series had one until there was a fault with the glovebox door so they replaced it and It come back without a lock on!

Who is going to be the first to try it on with the dealer to see if they can get one?

That's true. Proper chocolate, brown sauce, square sausage, adverts in appropriate places in tv programmes, aubergines, the colour grey.......and in early model years of the G20 a much more generous choice of options.

.

Have you noticed if anyone on this side of the pond in MY20's has one, as I have yet to. Will def ask my dealer next time I'm in if indeed 21's have them.

I just went to the garage to look at my glove box. Clearly, I never lock it but the lock is there. It is a July 2019 build - US Spec.

Wow, for once, BWW gave us something extra. :-)

Thanks for making the video.

Like others have said it's pretty lame that BMW only has this limited palette of colors you can choose from. What are the product people doing, they could be charging more for additional colors at the very least

Yea, there's no doubt they have the ability to do so with a software update. Even if they charge for a full colorwheel lighting package I would likely pay but they are probably saving it for the LCI or something silly
