LCI m340i exhaust / IconicSound
Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has an LCI G20 and can let me know if IconicSound is present in the Australian variant like it is internationally? I have test driven the non-LCI version of the m340i and I was a little underwhelmed with the exhaust note (mainly in respect to the overrun / cracks & pops etc)… unless I was really pushing it the sound even in Sport+ inside the car was pretty subdued. The one I test drove only had 200km on it so I don’t know if the exhaust changes significantly with time, but it didn’t sound anything like the review cars on YouTube; they’re mostly the mild hybrid variant we don’t get and they do have iconicsound so I am assuming that most of the reviews show is just artificial. Would be great to be set straight though if anyone has first vans experience? Thanks! |

Hopefully someone confirms, or I'd say ask/drop by your local dealer to confirm - some dealers also provide a short video tour if it helps.
iDrive 8 IconicSounds In regards to the IconicSounds, I did some test drive sessions last month, exploring the latest LCI technologies on the m340i, and the electric vehicles (i4 eDrive40, and the i4M50). I'm pretty sure my BMW Genius quickly showed me the IconicSounds iDrive 8 menu on one of the vehicles - vaguely recall it might have been the i4 M50 but it should be available on the LCI M340i as well if I'm not mistaken - but can't confirm. LCI M340i exhaust note As for the exhaust note, I was pretty impressed with the overall package and experience in terms of exhaust note, pops, etc. Sounded decent enough to me. |
