'My BMW' app now available in North America

According to my dealership, the 'My BMW' app which supersedes BMW Connected will be available in North America starting tomorrow (Monday April 12th). Well, Canada anyway, but I'm sure that will be US as well.

Any word on what this is going to allow for G20 330i?

I really like the Connected App and have gotten used to it. Will be interesting to see how the new one works out.

I hadn't even used the Connected app yet so all of this is new to me. Maybe it's better in such case since I won't have to re-learn everything?

Sorry for being a newb but where do we get the new app? Download it from the BMW website?

Confirmed. I received an error logging into BMW Connected, downloaded My BMW and was able to successfully login. Hopefully the error i received was just coincidental, because if that is the expected experience to transition folks to the new app, BMW can expect tons of folks asking for help.

Ha! The reviews are certainly less than stellar.

The app is now available on google play for me to install.

edit: no problems so far.

My Google play doesn't let me download it. Says not available in your country. I'm in USA.

Also, I can sign into my old BMW connect app without any issues. I guess I'm the lucky one (as usual) who doesn't have access to it? Same with remote software updates. I haven't ever gotten any and my car says I'm on the latest version (07.2019.38). Lol

It's in the iOS App Store and I was able to download it, so I'm sure it's just a timing thing with Google Play.

So does this mean Android users are getting screwed again? If I'm not mistaken the BMW Digital Key only works with iPhones now as well.

Hey Man, Congrats on picking up your car. I have noticed your photo in other forum but don't remember which forum.

So regarding my BMW app, I'm able to download in my Android phone and works well so far. It's pretty much all the features from Connected app (except horn feature is removed).

It appears to me at least that it has lost some functionality of the old app, so consider yourself lucky

The new app is working fine for me. The old one is still working too, actually. Both apps show I can update to 11/2020.50 (from 07/2020) but I don't care for Alexa and don't want to re-do my coding.
