Purchasing BMW 330i in Canada vs USA
Hi, currently in a situation where I can purchase a BMW in either country and register it appropriately. I spend a good amount of time in both places. Are there any advantages to buying a 3 series in Canada vs the US? Seem to have comparable pricing based on current exchange rates/taxes.

Canadian models built with some specific options (e.g. Merino leather) are guaranteed to be built in Germany - whereas all US models are made in Mexico.

When you do the currency conversion for a specced out model, especially the M340i, the Canadian pricing is cheaper. However there is tax on top of that so it may even out!

I looked into this and saw that there's a bunch of things to do in order to register it in the states. I'm not sure how burdensome it is, but would be open to doing it it's is not too bad since I'm not that far from Canada.
