250 away lol.... been everywhere, taking it through Cheddar gorge Sunday morning was a highlight and then around the twisty roads at the top was memorable, still not put my foot fully down but have had the odd prod, it's great.

Think they are default spec on most/all builds. Were certainly on a basic spec 320D I had for a bit.

Have any of you lucky lucky people with newly delivered BMW's got the head up display option included? or was it deleted?
Last I heard was the HUD and touchscreen was being removed from my build, but hearing everyone is getting touchscreens so wondered if the HUD is also being fitted.

No need for a dealer trip to fix.

1) Take a photo of pages 1+2 of the V5C.
2) Email to bmwconnecteddrive@bmw.co.uk
include your reg in the subject, and bmw id + vin in the body
3) call 0800 325 6000, option 2. tell them your code doesnt come through and you need to get them to manually add the vehicle. tell them you've emailed with your reg as subject.
4) within 5 minutes my app worked

Been able to now activate my digital key, and also buy high beam assist and speed camera info.

Just parked up and got a notification to install them and do a RSU , so that works !

Excellent! Now we wait for CarPlay/AA. I'll keep a rest of it and update once it's included. Hopefully it's there in the 22-03 istep, of which is only a few weeks away from dealers ! (OTA usually lags by 3 months )

I think the answer is:
1. BMW ran out of touchscreens from normal supplier
2. BMW sourced new touchscreens from new supplier with different chipset
3. Carplay software not yet updated to work with new touchscreens
4. Software update will fix this in the coming months
5. You will eventually have touchscreen + Carplay

A few of us got non-touchscreen and £500 in our pockets. Doesn't take long to get the hang of the iDrive wheel and speech recognition. Only niggle is Spotify where the home screen is rather busy. I've found sending destinations from MyBMW much more convenient than trying to enter it by any means in the car so that's actually a positive.

Yes, the MyBMW code came though immediately - though it took several go’s before it was accepted by the app (the BMW colleague I was dealing with said the app and servers are occasionally flaky)

Did you just check for an update or do you know a special trick mine keeps saying no update available, purchased traffic cameras and that's upgraded I think, says it has?
