I just used my CTEK charger I’ve had for a few years.

Thanks for all your help with this. The update has finally started. Went out a general drive and took a longer way there Armand back and that seems to have charged the battery enough for it to work.

Good news. It’s a bit frustrating not quite knowing when its going to drop. It does seem though, a decent drive or charging the battery means you get it as soon as its pushed to your car.

Taken from another forum, there is a way of getting the option to create a rule to turn on the heated steering wheel back:

I have discovered the answer. It's a real pain but I can confirm that it works. The remedy is to Reset to factory settings CAR>SETTINGS>GENERAL. It does mean that you have to reconnect phones and redo music and all of the other fiddly stuff, but I now have the joint seat/steering wheel heating restored.

I found out, when changing the driver profile to "Guest", that both rules was present. After switching between guest and my privat profile several times without any result I decided to delet my profile.
Then added it back again through MyBMW app. And yess, the rule is back again, in my profile, and everything is as I expected it to be.
You will have to do some settings again. The 1-8 buttons, seat memory, sound settings, ambient lights and maybe some more.
Anyway, the rule is back!

I noticed that as well this past weekend when I did the update... time to factory reset iDrive and resave everything that is going to get deleted.
