Help for oem carbon boot spoiler

Hi,

I have used 3m vhd tape and it looks like it bonded well. However the edges are ever so slightly not flush, about 1-2 mm out. Me being the perfectionist I want it flush.

I was thinking of masking off the car around the edges and applying a small amount of beta link to make it flush. I would apply I very sparingly with a thin enough object just to dab it under the gap, such as a sowing needle.

Question is, is there any other recommendations other than beta link?

Thanks

Meanwhile have you made any corresponding difference to the front aero?

Mr M Performance expains in one video how important that is but there is no science in the description of the parts - just optimising downforce or complementing the sporty appearance....

Anyway - hope you get sorted. Looking forward to pictures.

Mine moves on the tape and has lifted slightly at one end, it’s not designed for taping down, I just can’t bring myself to take off and either retape or betalink

Betalink is your best bet imo I have some for my still-to-be-installed spoiler and are going down the same route as you, ie VHB for the inner and Betalink for the outer edges.

Thanks for the replies folks. May go with betalink or tigerseal for the edges.

Already given the spoiler a shake (still has masking tape on in place) and it's solid.
