Help with coding G22 430i Adaptive Sound Design& Blinker sound level
Hi, I've tried searching for a definitive answer to this common problem worsened by adding an after market amp. All threads I find end up being sureness about not using indicators at all or wanting more burbbles coming from the ADS fake system.
My issue is switching off the fake engine sound entirely. So far using bimmercode app, I tick the deactivate box and nothing changes, even after changing the license to deactive Each time i start the car the sound is set back to 'depending on driving mode' I would simply like it off, full stop. Due to the amp it sounds sillier than usual and I'm almost sure it used to stay in 'reduced mode' if i selected it within the head unit. Second issue is the ridiculously loud blinker sound coming through the drivers side door speakers. Without music playing it is twice as loud as it used to be before fitting the amp. Any help coding these issues away and helping me not regret upgrading the stereo. . Last edited by dymmy; 04-26-2024 at 04:08 AM.. |

You might want to move this post or repost to the DIYs and Coding Discussions sub.
Engine Sound works just fine for me and always remembers the last setting - it never reverts to "depending on drive mode" for me. I've got ASD coded off; even when I set Engine Sound to "Sporty" it is 100% exhaust note; no fake sound. This was working before I upgraded to 11/2023 software - and it's still working on this version. G20/M340i |

The blinker level is more annoying though. |

Perhaps code Rolce Royce sound, I find that the blinker sound in that setting is more pleasant to the ears. But if you're bothered by the blinker then not sure anything other than muting the sound will do.
You could search through the DIY and coding sub for ASD - perhaps there might be some additional steps required to turning off. I used Esys to disable mine. BimmerUtility is also popular on the forum. There are others with G20 who have also noted that Engine Sound reverts back to default at every start up. Perhaps, spend sometime on the Coding sub; it's likely someone there has figured out how to make it persistent. Mine just works. |
