M340i mhev

Does anyone know when the electric motor kicks in? Is there anything on the dash that's shows it's being utilitised. I'm at a loss, Thanks.

You’ll get a ‘eboost’ and the dash goes a bit blue.

You can feel it.

Seems to come in mainly around 3000rpm, not always on full throttle too.

‘Energy Flow’ in one of the iDrive settings will show you an interesting picture!😉

I've seen that and it had bars on the battery like as though it was charging.

I'll keep a eye out for it. Can't see anything that's clear in the manual.

Going on 400 miles on a full tank. For a 3L it's got to be working!

It does it automagically (yes I did spell that correctly )
I have never seen the eboost message on the m340 though and had a blast in sports plus today as well. I do like the MHT kicking it at a constant 45mph for example, engine goes off and you trundle along on battery for a while.

I was very impressed with how the MHT works on the G20 I had for a couple of days. You mention the trundling along... what I noticed was the difference if you were behind another car and lifted off, were on open road, or approaching a restricted zone. Seemed to sort it all out automatically, as to whether you needed to slow down, or just be assisted to hold the speed with engine off.

Yes agreed it kicks the engine back in coming up to a roundabout etc and although I don't have adaptive cruise I'm sure it slows the car down if coming up to another car via engine braking if using the 48v (not emergency braking!)

I'm the same as you no adaptive cruise control but find this as well on mine.
Does it use SAT (satellite aided transmission) which Rolls Royce have been using on the Wraith since 2015?
