Glad to be Back in a 3 Series after 7 Year Absence
Recently returned to the 3 Series fold after an absence of 7 years having had two RR Evoques and two Lexus’ (IS 300h and RX 450h) in that time.
We purchased a new G20 320i M Sport Plus in Mineral White a couple of weeks ago from Lloyds in Carlisle. Given the current Covid restrictions, things couldn’t have gone smoother; I called Lloyds on the Tuesday and explained what we wanted and what we were prepared to pay. Luckily they had a car in stock so after a bit of e-mail tennis and several phone calls we drove over to hand over the Lexus and pick up the car on the Sunday. I have to say that the preparation and presentation of the car was first class, so a big thanks to Martin Bone at Lloyds Carlisle, great service. As soon as we parked up at home I got a software update message; within 20 minutes or so the car was updated to version 07/2020.54 with no issues. Also updated the maps to 2020-3; this didn’t go so smoothly due to an iffy USB stick but managed to reload using a new SD card and USB C adapter. All in all we’re really happy with the car and looking forward to contributing to the Forum and covering some miles once we’re set free. Trev Anyway... the car |

Well my return to the fold was short lived as I’ve now sold the car after only 10 months of ownership and only 5,000 miles covered (although they were mostly enjoyable miles!).
No issues with the car at all and I’m sad to see it go but unfortunately one of those life changing events has come along, which means the car has slipped down the priority list and has had to go. On the bright side we managed to get a really good price for it and haven’t lost much at all, which was a nice surprise. I’ll be selling a few accessories over the next weeks that are now surplus to requirements namely; new style 780 alloy wheels and tyres; new spacesaver and jack kit,; genuine rubber car mats (front only), non OEM boot liner and a mineral white Chipex kit. In the mean time I wish you all good luck for the future and happy motoring. All the best Trev |
