Boot sill protection

Hey folks, I found a good way of protecting the paint from my canine friend! It’s a flip down boot protector that can be attached to the silver circle things on each side of the boot! You can get them from Mercedes for about 40 quid. BMW don’t do them I was told - could be wrong though!

I was looking at my sill, and it's already fairly well scuffed. TBH it's going to get that way, even though I think it must have been previous owner and me not noticing, but I think I might have, or rather should have. Anyway, I need to put my son's wheelchair in and out, so it's likely to get bashed sooner or later.

I don't necessarily want to get this (or something similar), but might have to at some stage. Would wait until it's really badly scratched (if that does actually happen) before getting one.

Or would a polish up and PPF survive bashes from a wheelchair?

My dog also travels in the boot and I have a 330e saloon. He prefers it in there although he is a terrier so kind of bread for that sort of space.

BMW do a similar one for for a shade under £40 including delivery just bought one from BMW Direct off their EBay shop it’s rubberised so can be wiped clean, I use it to sit on to keep my jeans clean.

Can I ask what you are referring to? A (permanent) sill protector or a drop down thing?

It’s a drop down thing that’s stored under the boot floor when not in use.
