My new M340i, carbon pack
I was very fortunate for my car to go into production within 2 days of ordering end of July and delivery just over a week ago. All I can say is WOW! This is just another level of car!
So far I've racked up 500 miles and I have been a little heavy footed here and there and its incredible. That's not even me redlining it as I've still to run in the engine. I do tend to find myself driving in sport mode so the valve is open, the exhaust note is just gorgeous, not too much yet just right for me. The problem is driving in sport mode for mainly city driving is the car is just too responsive, it just wants to go! I might consider unplugging valve so that it's always open. I went for a basic spec, mineral white and the carbon pack (new to 2021). I previously had the tech and premium packs and to be honest I can live without them. There is a difference in no HK however the quality for general radio and Spotify use is more than enough for me. In all honesty I have been finding myself with the radio off and window down just to hear the exhaust sound. |

Very nice Gary, any interior pics? Assuming it has the interior carbon trim too?

Very nice mate. Mines just arrived in the uk and awaiting transporting to the dealer. I went with the carbon pack too. It looks great with the mw. Where did you source the rest of the carbon fibre bits?

Thanks, I think it was dick lovett bmw I sourced it from. Found the full pack advertised on ebay and I got the price down a little. Be aware that the diffuser for the M340i is different than the 330i, it's different part numbers. Just incase you weren't aware.

Is there any risk involved in doing this? I'm just concerned that bmw put it there for a reason and if I have it open all the time then something might go wrong. However that's the 'worrier' in me.

Look's great OP, the carbon really stands out against the mineral white and i love the draughts board effect of the carbon on the roof.
I have said elsewhere before that i prefer the look of the MP carbon interior trim over this but still it's a nice look. Livi for the multi story?? |
