Reliability of 330e

I posted this originally in the x30e but since that has been only out for a year, pondering if I could get opinions of the 330e owners.

The amount of discounts available is tempting to buy a x3 as my car to haul a small fishing boat, take it mt biking and give it to my kid as a first car in 6 years. I probably already know the answer but was wondering what people's thoughts are on the long term reliability of a x3e? I had my fair share of bmws in the past and did my own work on them but a hybrid is something diff. Thoughts? Or should I go with a Asian brand boring suv?

Had a 330e F30 for three years and a G20 for 9 months. Both cars have been pretty much flawless. The G20 in particular is quite a leap over the last model in terms of refinement and comfort. Both cars we M-Sport+ with my newer one being an Edition spec. The thing that would put me of the x3e is that it's pretty much LCI now and a lot of the internals are previous gen whereas the G20 is current. Personally, my g20 is all the car I ever need. That said, if you were abnle to step up to an X5e - now that's a special vehicle!

What is your 330e's hybrid range? Is it around 110-120 miles, and then go to gas-only mode?

Most reviews mention 20 miles of pure battery range, and then 300+ miles of gas-only range. What is 330e's hybrid range(eletric + gas working together, like an old school Prius)?

When you drive on petrol, electric is always there to help so you get as much 'hybrid' range as you have 'gas' range.
I've never encountered a situation where I felt the battery was totally out, not having enough juice to support the ICE.

To give some numbers, I had a couple of stretches of over 600km with 1 charge / 1 tank (2020 g20), you could take that as hybrid range. This is obviously for relaxed driving.

Thanks for data points, so that is around 375 miles of hybrid range, or around 35.3mpg for 10.6 gallons.

In comparison, a 155 miles of mostly highway driving across a mountain pass(say, 2000 ft?) to the ocean and back on my 330i burned 3.7 gallons, or almost 42mpg. My previous F30 328i did the same with 4 gallons.

The predicted range on my 330i during that route was around 650 miles.

It looks like the sweet spot of 330e is 20 miles of battery only with daily charging.
