330e / 330i Exhaust Tip Diameter

I posted a similar question on the Modding section, no response yet..

Anyone with the 330e or 330i changed their Exhaust Tips, and know the dimensions.... ?

my 330e arrives next week so can't see it yet... is it 70/73mm input, 90mm output?

Did you ever find this out? Curious for a very unique reason...if the inlet is 70MM, this would mean a perfect fit for my M2C, which has an 80MM outlet and thus a 90MM tip would look great as a stock substitute. Based on eyeing some 330i tips on the road...I think it may be close to 70MM inlet.

Tried to remove the original ones today, no success yet, stuck fast... I think the pin at back is preventing release... but I can say the diameter looks just right... will try over the weekend and report back....

Thanks! I actually ordered one of the 330i tips to test fit to my M2C. They don't cost very much, so I figured might as well order one and see what I can find out. Hopefully, it will arrive by next weekend and I can take preliminary measurements and then maybe try it on. If I get it on and it looks like a good fit, however, I'll be cruising around for a week with one mismatched tailpipe, because once it's on it ain't coming off if it looks okay. Good color choice on the G20 btw!

jedpause Found this picture of the interior rear of the tip...note the prongs where the pin is...so you'll have to release those to get it off.

Drive it off with a rubber mallet.

Yes I can see that using a mirror, I think the clip is like a spring so if I push it to the side slightly, it will then release past the pin, if that makes sense.... I'm not brave enough to force, it, will try a screwdriver to push the 'spring' over the weekend and see what happens

I actually got my test tip in black and fit it on my M2C...looks good so I ordered 3 more. Here are links to my two posts...

If I had to guess, I'd say the G20 inlet diameter might be closer to the 73MM number. The outside is definitely 90MM.
