With a budget of around 70K, I am thinking of switching to a new M440i coupe, or a used M850i(year 2019, mileage 25K). I am very attracted to the V8 engine and Bowers & Wilkins sound system on M850, but M440 has a brand new iD8 system, and it's similar to my current 435i. Any suggestion on what car should I choose? Which is more fun to drive on local roads and which is more handy? I like how my 435 drives, so I want to have a similar feeling!

M440i would definitely drive better throwing it around corners. From my experience working at BMW, the M850i is a yahct coupe that goes fast in a straight line. You can feel that extra weight in the corners but it’s much smoother just cruising. Of course, it also sounds much better. It could also depend on your long term plans (as a new M440i would have warranty and such). You’d really have to drive both to make a solid decision though
